Kenya’s second tier, the National Super League (NSL) 2025/2026 Season is officially in the marathon phase, and Round 13 promises high-stakes action across Kenya this weekend.

With the table tightly packed and promotion spots up for grabs, every fixture is crucial for teams looking to make a push towards the top-three automatic qualification zone for the Kenya Premier League.

The current table sees Migori Youth FC leading the charge, while the bottom four are fighting fiercely to avoid relegation to the FKF Division One League.

Friday’s Marquee Clash: Leader vs. Top Contender
The standout fixture on Friday is a crucial six-pointer in the Western Kenya city of Awendo:
Migori Youth FC (1st) vs. Mombasa United FC (3rd): Awendo Green Stadium will host this battle between promotion favorites.

Migori Youth enters the weekend at the summit of the table with 26 points from 12 games, boasting a +6 Goal Difference. However, they face a stern test against Mombasa United, who sit just behind them in 3rd place with 22 points.

Mombasa United is desperate to build from the 2-1 win it got against FC Talanta.

Battle for Second Spot: High-Flyers on the Road
Saturday sees a contest that could redefine the battle for the second promotion spot:
FC Talanta (6th) vs. MOFA FC (2nd): The “high-flying” MOFA FC travels to Nairobi to entertain FC Talanta at Kasarani Annex. MOFA is currently in a phenomenal 2nd place with 22 points and the best goal difference in the league (+8). They face a competitive FC Talanta side, who are lurking in 6th place with 18 points. This fixture is pivotal for MOFA to maintain their distance from the chasing pack.

Redemption and Relegation Fights
Elsewhere, teams at the opposite ends of the table will be fighting for vital points:
Free-Falling Naivas (10th) Visits Kisumu: The once high-flying Naivas FC, who sit in 10th place with 16 points, visits the unpredictable Kisumu Allstars FC at Moi Stadium. Kisumu Allstars are currently struggling at 19th place with just 9 points, making them part of the relegation battle.

Soy and MCF Seek Salvation: Sunday features a critical clash for two sides seeking to redeem their seasons.

Mully Children Family (MCF) FC (15th, 13 points) and Soy United FC (16th, 12 points) will meet at the Eldoret Show Grounds. Both teams are dangerously close to the relegation zone and need a win to create daylight between them and the bottom four.
