KCCA FC tightened their grip on the Uganda Premier League summit with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Buhimba Saints under the floodlights at the MTN Omondi Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Kasasiro Boys dominated proceedings from the opening exchanges, pinning Buhimba back with sustained possession and early chances. Their pressure finally told in the 27th minute when Rogers Mugisha reacted quickest after a deflected effort, controlling the loose ball on his chest before finishing clinically to give the hosts a deserved lead.

KCCA continued to dictate the tempo after the break, creating several half-chances through Saidi Mayanja and set-pieces, but a combination of poor finishing and resilient defending kept the scoreline tight. Buhimba threatened sporadically, with Anywar Ntege forcing a save from goalkeeper Emojong, yet they struggled to consistently trouble the hosts.

Despite late substitutions and added time, KCCA held firm to see out the narrow win and collect maximum points.
The victory lifts KCCA FC to 26 points, opening up a five-point lead at the top of the table. Police FC remain second on 21 points, while Buhimba Saints stay 14th with 10 points after another difficult outing on the road.
