The spotlight shifts to YMCA Wandegeya on Friday evening as KCCA Leopards attempt to maintain their perfect start against league leaders JT Lady Jaguars in a clash that could reshape the early women’s standings.

While JT sit at the summit with five points from three games, their grip on top spot looks less secure following last week’s 78–68 defeat to reigning champions JKL Lady Dolphins. The loss exposed defensive lapses and stretches of inconsistency that coach Sudi Ulanga has since moved to address on the training court.
Rather than dwell on the setback, Ulanga has redirected focus toward structure and discipline.

“The response in training has been positive. We have emphasised accountability on defence and smarter decision-making in key moments,” he noted ahead of Friday’s encounter.
JT will once again look to their depth for answers. Sandra Wangeshi provided a spark off the bench with 13 points in the loss to JKL, while Bridget and Rhoda added 11 and 10 respectively. However, converting competitive stretches into complete performances remains the immediate priority.

For the Leopards, the equation is simpler: maintain momentum. Unbeaten in two outings, KCCA have built their campaign on composure and efficient execution. A third straight victory would not only preserve their record but also send a strong statement to the rest of the field.
Elsewhere in the men’s division, scheduling adjustments have reshaped the weekend programme. KCCA Panthers now face Sommet BC on Friday at YMCA Wandegeya after the anticipated UCU Canons–JT Jaguars fixture was postponed.
