Pepsi University Football League
Quarterfinal
Return Leg
Today, 4pm
YMCA v Kumi, Agg (1-1)
History beckons for both YMCA Comprehensive Institute and Kumi University as they lock horns in a decisive Pepsi University Football League quarterfinal second leg today at the YMCA Grounds in Buwambo, Wakiso.
With the tie finely poised after a 1-1 draw in the opening encounter, the smallest of details could separate the two sides. YMCA return home with a narrow advantage, courtesy of an audacious corner kick goal by Ashraf Lugya an effort that has tilted the balance slightly in their favour heading into this do-or-die clash.

Despite that edge, the contest remains wide open. Kumi University, who found the net through Cuthbert Muge in the first leg, know that victory or a high-scoring draw will see them through, adding further tension to an already tightly contested fixture.
Both teams are navigating uncharted territory, having reached the quarterfinal stage for the first time, and the prospect of a maiden semifinal appearance has raised the stakes significantly.
YMCA will lean on the attacking trio of Lugya, Banton Kaganzi, and John Kiseka to get the job done on home soil. On the other hand, Kumi will look to leaders such as Simon Peter Olupot, Christopher Nyongesa, and in-form goalkeeper Eddy Amoni to keep their dream alive.
The victor will secure a place in the semifinals alongside Kampala University, Muteesa I Royal University, and the winner between St Lawrence University and Ndejje University, with the next round’s draw scheduled for tomorrow in Lugogo.
