St Lawrence University delivered a ruthless performance to eliminate Ndejje University and secure a place in the semifinals with a convincing aggregate victory at Hamz Stadium.
Holding a slim advantage from the first leg, St Lawrence turned on the style in the return fixture, showing composure and efficiency in both halves to take full control of the tie.
The breakthrough arrived just before halftime when Julius Kalanda rose above the defence to head home from a Collin Ssemanda corner, setting the tone for the second half.
Moments after the restart, Ndejje’s hopes faded further following a costly goalkeeping mistake, as Kalanda capitalised to double the lead and put the contest beyond reach.
Alele Ambrose then wrapped up the result with a well-taken finish from Ssemanda’s set piece, capping a dominant display that left Ndejje with no response.
The victory sees St Lawrence advance comfortably to the last four, joining Muteesa I Royal University and Kampala University as the semifinal lineup continues to take shape.
