Real Stars Sports Monthly Awards together with Fortebet and Jude Colour solutions have awarded three Athletes from four sports disciplines for their outstanding May performance.
In an ceremony took place at the this Tuesday morning at Nanjing Restaurant in Kololo at colourful event that was graced by sponsors madam Resty Mbatidde Namugema for Fortebet and Erone Nandawula for Jude Colour Solutions alongside Isaac Mukasa the CEO Real Stars Sports Agency.
Four sports personalities were rewarded in the different disciplines of Chess, football , Athletics and Netball and the different winners were; Alvin Muhirwa (Chess), Allan Okello (football) , Chemutai Peruth (Athletics)and Christine Namulumba (Netball) .
The awards tipped off with the Athletics Category were Olympic medalist Peruth Chemutai received the athletics award following her victory in the women’s 3000m steeplechase at the Diamond League Xiamen Meeting in China, where she clocked 8:51.06 and defeated reigning world champion Winfred Yavi.
In football category Uganda cranes star boy and Simba soccer club player Allan Okello won the football award after scoring seven goals in May for Young Africans in the Tanzanian Premier League. He finished ahead of Charles Lwanga and Owen Mukisa.
For Netball Christine Namulumba Kango claimed the netball accolade after playing a key role in Prisons Netball Club’s triumph at the 2026 East Africa Netball Championship. She beat Joan Nantumbwe and Margaret Bagala.
In the last category of Chess the youngerstar Alvin Muhirwa won the chess category after securing gold in the Under-16 section of the African Junior Chess Championship. He finished ahead of Jacinta Mbabazi and Ronald Wabwire.
