The FIA African Rally Championship returns to Rwanda for Round 3. The 2026 Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally promises three days of high-adrenaline action on the country’s legendary gravel from July 10 to 12.

19 crews from across Africa are locked in, with all eyes on the ARC and the fiercely contested ARC2 class.

The Route
Friday, July 10: Ceremonial start and spectator stage at the Kigali Convention Centre roundabout.
Saturday, July 11: Dust and speed through the competitive trails of Gaseni, Gako, and Nima in Bugesera.
Sunday, July 12: The final push via Kamawi, a second run through Gako, and a power stage showdown at Nima to close the rally.

ARC2 in Focus
The ARC2 fight is already heating up. Tanzania’s Prince Charles Nyerere took the 2025 ARC2 crown, and now regional heavyweights are coming for it.

Tanzania’s Ahmed Huwel and Manvir Birdi will both be in RC2/ARC2 machinery, aiming to shake up the leaderboard on Rwanda’s tight, technical roads.

With loose gravel, fast crests, and unforgiving corners, the Mountain Gorilla Rally is set to deliver another classic ARC chapter.
