Ugandan secondary school sports powerhouses showed their class on Tanzanian soil, sweeping the football titles at the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games in Morogoro.
In the boys’ football final at Jamhuri Stadium, St. Mary’s Kitende delivered a tactical masterclass to edge a stubborn home side, Morogoro SS, 2-1, thanks to Tebenkana Isaac
Jordan Tugume strikes.

Kitende had to battle through a grueling knockout run, including a tense penalty shootout win over Mbeya Day SS in the semifinals, before silencing the vocal home crowd in Saturday’s showdown.
The celebration didn’t end there for Team Uganda. Rines SS completed the double, clinching gold in the girls’ category after outlasting fellow Ugandan side Amus College in a high-stakes final.
Both Kitende and Rinnes will represent the region in the Africa Senior Schools Sports Games late this year.
