Usama Arafat’s brace leads KCCA FC to Stanbic Uganda Cup around of 32

The Uganda Cup record champions KCCA FC have advanced to the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 after 2-0 victory over non league side 403 Brigade at St Daniel Combooni in Napak.

Usama Arafat Kizza’s stellar performance, earned him the Man of the Match, proved pivotal as he netted a commanding brace leading KCCA FC to Stanbic Uganda around of 32.

In the 20th minute, Usama’s inaugural goal unfolded before a near-capacity crowd at St Daniel Comboni playground, Derrick Nsibambi showcasing a remarkable short past the goalkeeper to give the Kasasiro Boy’s a lead.

The rising star then completed his brace in seven minutes later after the first goal, capitalizing on a mesmerizing series of passes that culminated in James Mubeezi clever decoy, enabling Arafat to calmly guide the ball into the net with his left foot.

Arafat remarked after the game that, “It’s the entire team that contributed to the win. We have an incredible group of players that make the work easy.”

Reflecting on his performance, he noted, “In the first few minutes, I was coming through from the midfield, but later I started sticking out to the wing and making penetrations, especially in the second half, and it paid off.”
