Kobusobozi scored seven goals in five matches and winning three woman of the match accolades.
“I’m happy to win this award since it’s my first to win it. This award motivates us as players to work extra harder. To my fellow players, technical team, and management, I can’t thank you enough since without them I wouldn’t have won the award. To my fellow players, continue working hard,” Kobusobozi said.

Kampala Queens’ coach, Hailegebrealar, guided his side to three wins and a draw in four games, earning him the award. He credited his players and technical team for the achievement.

During the award ceremony, FUFA Deputy CEO Kizza acknowledged the significance of these awards but also warned of upcoming fixture congestion in the league due to Uganda’s commitment to hosting the African Nations Championship (CHAN) finals in August.
“Introducing awards in women’s football is a step in the right direction and a welcome partnership for us. Let these awards bring competition for excellence. However, we are going to have a congested calendar to ensure we successfully host the African Nations Championship. So please bear with us,” Kizza stated.
However, Finance Trust Bank’s Head of Strategy, Francis Wasswa, highlighted the impact of these awards in promoting excellence in women’s football.
“As a bank, we want to transform lives, and we looked for a partner in that space—FUFA ticked all the right boxes. We want to champion the women’s game. Awards like this amplify the whole existence of this partnership,” Wasswa emphasized.
