The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has officially confirmed that the final of the 51st edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

In a statement issued by the FUFA Competitions Department, the federation congratulated the four semi finalists and announced that the grand finale will be held under floodlights at the FUFA Stadium in Kadiba, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 PM.

“We encourage the qualifying teams to prepare accordingly,” the statement read, adding that further logistical details will be communicated to the finalists after the completion of the semifinal second legs.

The battle for a spot in the prestigious final is still on, with four clubs in contention: defending champions Kitara FC, league champions Vipers SC, KCCA FC, and FUFA Big League underdogs Kataka FC.

In the first leg of the semifinals, Vipers SC edged Kitara FC 1-0 and will take that slim advantage into the second leg on Saturday, May 17, at Butema Stadium in Hoima. Meanwhile, KCCA FC are in a commanding position after their 3-0 victory over Kataka FC ahead of the return leg in Mbale.

The winner of this year’s Uganda Cup will earn not only national glory but also qualification to the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup. However, if Vipers SC, the already crowned 2024/25 StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions go on to win the Cup, the Confederation Cup slot may instead be awarded to the league’s runners-up.
