The Confederation of African Football (CAF) delegation, responsible for inspecting stadiums for the 2025 CHAN, has expressed satisfaction with Uganda’s progress.
CHAN tournament was postponed from February to in August this year. It will be hosted by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.

Led by Serge Assume, the 20-member delegation inspected the Namboole Stadium and other facilities that will host teams during the tournament. They praised Uganda for its efficient handling of preparations, noting that only minor adjustments were needed.

They inspected training grounds, including; Kampala International School Uganda (KISU), Kyambogo, Wankulukuku, and Kadiba. While commending Uganda’s efforts, they requested that Kyambogo and Wankulukuku stadiums to be equipped with enough floodlights within a month to facilitate nighttime training sessions.
The delegation also confirmed that three hotels; Sheraton, Sheraton Four Points in Kololo, and Serena, would accommodate participating teams. Assume stated, “On behalf of CAF, we appreciate Uganda’s progress. You’ve done a great job, and we just need a few minor adjustments to finalize everything.”
