URA FC has secured the future of two of its key players, Nicholas Kabonge and Bruno Bunyaga, who have both signed contract extensions that will keep them at the club until 2027. The news comes as a major boost to the Tax Collectors ahead of the highly anticipated 2025/26 Uganda Premier League campaign.
The duo, who arrived at the club in 2023, Kabonge from SC Villa and Bunyaga from Bushenyi Veterans have quickly become central to URA’s attacking unit. Their consistent performances and growing influence on the pitch have earned them the full confidence of both the coaching staff and the fanbase.
Kabonge, known for his creativity and vision in midfield, shared his excitement about the new deal:
“This club believed in me, and I’m grateful for the chance to continue developing here. We’re on a journey, and I’m proud to be part of it.”

Forward Bunyaga, whose goal-scoring instincts and movement off the ball have made him a fan favorite, echoed a similar sentiment:
“Renewing with URA FC is a big step in my career. I feel appreciated and supported. My focus now is on delivering even more for the team.”
Club CEO Allan Munaaba welcomed the contract extensions, calling them part of URA’s broader strategy to build a strong, stable team for the future.
“We’re thrilled to retain players of this calibre. Their attitude, consistency, and desire to improve reflect the standards we’re setting at URA.”
Munaaba also reaffirmed the club’s vision of continuity and player development:
“Our goal is to build a competitive team that can challenge for titles every season. These renewals are not just about stability they’re about ambition.”
With Kabonge and Bunyaga committing long-term, URA FC strengthens its attacking department and signals serious intent ahead of the new season. The duo’s experience and chemistry within the squad will be key assets for head coach Alex Isabirye as the team looks to mount a strong title challenge.
