KCCA FC officially began their 2025/26 pre-season preparations on Monday at Lugogo. The return to training came with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement, fueled by the arrival of the club’s new co-head coaches, Jackson Magera and Brian Ssenyondo.

By as early as 7am players were already trickling in under the soft glow of the early morning sun, greeted by an atmosphere of cautious optimism and quiet determination. It wasn’t just another pre-season but a fresh start.

After warm welcomes and a brief meeting with the club’s administrators and technical staff, the squad was taken through the day’s itinerary and introduced to the broader vision for the weeks ahead. The tone was clear: this was a campaign about revival, rebuilding, and reclaiming past glories.

Fitness and conditioning coach Felix Ayobo took charge of the early routines, guiding the players through stretches and low-intensity drills to ease them back into competitive shape.

Meanwhile, the coaching staff observed attentively, occasionally stepping in to refine technique or deliver encouraging instructions.

As the session progressed, intensity picked up. Tactical drills were introduced, incorporating fresh variations designed to challenge and re-energize the players. The energy was palpable—every sprint, every touch, every tackle carried the weight of ambition.

Co-Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo delivered a rousing address, setting the tone for the weeks ahead: “This is where it begins. The legacy we’ve inherited demands commitment. With your discipline and desire, we will take KCCA FC back to where it belongs. But it has to be a collective effort, we move as one.”

By the end of the morning session, it was clear this preseason wasn’t just about getting fit, it was about building identity, unity, and belief.

The club has lined up a series of friendly matches to be played throughout the pre-season, which will run until the Uganda Premier League kicks off in late September.
