Brilliant Mawokota humbled Bugerere with a 3-0 Convincing Victory to pick their second Consecutive win in the second round of the 2025 Masaza Cup game held on Sunday at Buwama Ssaza ground. The three-time champions showcased their free-flowing football, which has brought joy to their fans.

George Isigoma was instrumental in Mawokotaโ€™s win, with Kaija Sunny netting from a corner kick across in the 26th minute and the three times masaza cup champions a doubled lead through Ocatre Collins scoring the second goal in the 43th minute.Nkoola Arafaat sealed the win with the third goal in the 54th minute and Wafula Felix was named the Man of the match with impressive performance on the day.

It should be remembred that their first meeting of the season ended in a 1-0 in favor of Bugerere at Ntejeru playground and Bugerere were Unbeaten in eight game’s having won three games and drawn five matches.

Bugerere and the favorites Kyaggwe were unbeaten but on match day nine both teams loses were bugerere humbled a 3-0 while Kyaggwe were defeated by the two times champions Ssingo 2-0.

The win was deserved, given Mawokotaโ€™s dominance throughout the game. This was their second consecutive home win, following their victory over Bulemenzi in the previous game. Mawokota now second the Masengere group with fifteen points after nine games.

Mawokota’s assistant coach Hamidu Kibirago who recently made history with Catda FC securing promotion to the FUFA Big League by winning the Kampala Regional League and a crucial promotional playoff expressed his delight after the crucial win.

“Bugerere is a formidable opponent and we knew it wouldn’t be easy, to get such a positive results against a team which was unbeaten in eight game’s is encouraging , it allows us to focus on our objective of getting out of the group and winning this year’s trophy with flying colour’s “Hamidu Kibirago remarked.

Next Sunday, Mawokota will face Buvuma at Bishop SS play ground in mukuno. The team will look to maintain their form and progress to the quarter finals.
