KCCA FC has added another big name to its ranks, confirming the capture of former URA FC and Express captain Enock Walusimbi on a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old defender, who has had a spell in Scotland and previously guided Express FC to a Uganda Premier League title in 2020, brings both pedigree and leadership to the thirteen-time champions. His ability to operate comfortably as a centre-back or fullback gives the Kasasiro Boys more flexibility as they prepare for a demanding campaign.

Walusimbi’s signing is seen as part of KCCA’s broader plan to rebuild a resilient backline, a department that was at times inconsistent last season. His calmness under pressure and aerial strength are expected to plug gaps while also mentoring some of the younger defenders in the squad.

Co-Head Coach Jackson Magera underlined the importance of the transfer, noting: “We have been following Enock closely. He is a leader, he knows this league well, and he brings qualities we believe are essential for our growth. He fits perfectly into what we are building.”

For Walusimbi, the move represents not just a return home but also an opportunity to cement his name further in Ugandan football.

“Joining KCCA is a privilege. This is a club with ambition and tradition. I want to contribute to winning trophies and to be part of writing the next chapter of this great team,” he remarked.

The defender becomes the fourth new arrival at Lugogo this transfer window, joining Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Herbert Achayi, and Lazaro Muhindo in what is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious recruitment drives in recent years.
