Abigail Mawanda Ndagire a daughter to Uganda badminton president Annet Nakamya shined brightest at the inaugural Uganda badminton Kabojja International School tournament that Climaxes on Sunday at the kajjoba international Schools in Buziga, Kampala.
Having shuttled off on Saturday 13th September 2025 with 120 badminton youngsters from fifteen schools showcasing their talent and skill in the two days tournament.
However Abigail Mawanda Ndagire managed to come out on top, winning the U-15 and U-19 Girls singles finals plus women Doubles were she patterned with Swaburah Nayiga.

Abigail managed to win Women’s U19 Singles beating Kabojja International School star Megan Owomugisha with two straight sets (15-1, 15-2).
Before reaching this stage, Abigail had earlier edged Dhulupudi Sudharshini winning two sets (11-3, 11-3) at the semifinals while at the quarter finals defeated Elizabeth Louiza ( 11-3, 11-3).

In the Women’s doubles with Swaburah Nayiga, they beat Tewelde Merhawit+Limda Vishinav rounding it up with a straight two set win over Acous International School students in the finals (15-2,15-3).

For the U15 Women singles, Abigail Ndagire defeated his teammate in the women doubles Swaburah Nayiga in tenese game were Nayiga walk way with two straight wins (15-5,11-8)
In the semi’s Abigail Mawanda Ndagire put up impressive performance defeated Tendo Nakimuli winning two sets (11-2,11-3) while at the Quarter finals wins Kristabel Ahereza (11-0, 11-0).

In media brief with the three gold medalist Abigail Mawanda Ndagire expressed his joy to Rora media sports.
The Uganda badminton association president madam Annet Nakamya is the Coach of his daughter Abigail Ndagire Mawanda .
“Today I have managed to win three gold medals in the U19 Girl’s singles plus the U15 Girl’s singles and the Girls doubles and if think I have full fill my expectations this Uganda badminton Kabojja International School tournament and for the future I expected to win U15 City tyres even go further winning WBF Championship and thank my teammates and my Coach”.
