Uganda Premier League Today, 4pm
Calvary v Entebbe UPPC
After weeks of life on the road, Calvary FC will finally get a taste of topflight action on home soil when they welcome fellow newcomers Entebbe UPPC to Midigo Primary School Grounds in Yumbe on Friday.
The Northern outfit, who have endured a difficult introduction to Uganda Premier League football, sit bottom of the table with just a single point from four games. Their travels included a commendable draw at Maroons but also heavy defeats, the latest being a 4-2 loss to KCCA at Lugogo.
Now, the long-awaited home debut offers a glimmer of hope and a chance to rally local support behind the team. Coach Alex Isabirye’s side will be banking on the passionate Midigo crowd to inspire their first win of the season.

Their visitors, Entebbe UPPC, arrive in Yumbe looking to bounce back from a narrow 1-0 defeat to champions Vipers. The Printers have had a fairly steady start, sitting ninth with seven points from five games.
Assistant coach Godfrey Walusimbi expects a spirited contest. “We know Calvary will be fired up for their first home game, but we’ve addressed our mistakes and the players are mentally ready,” he noted.
With both sides eager to prove their topflight credentials, Friday’s encounter promises more than just three points it’s a defining moment for Calvary’s dream debut season in the Uganda Premier League.
