Uganda Cranes learned the opponents they will face at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 draw ceremony was conducted at the Mohammad V National Theatre in Rabat, Morocco, on January 27th, 2025.
Cranes was pitted in group C alongside the three African champions Nigeria, East Africa neighbors Tanzania and 2004 winners Tunisia.
Uganda had last appeared at AFCON in 2019 in Egypt. Under the guidance of coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, Uganda Cranes broke their 39-year AFCON jinx when they qualified for the Gabon 2017 AFCON.
The teams will be divided into six groups, each containing four teams. The top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will secure spots in the Round of 16.
