KCCA FC secured a hard-fought 2–1 win over URA FC on Friday night at the MTN Omondi Stadium, with striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe delivering a decisive brace.
The Kasasiro Boys started brightly, dominating early possession, and were rewarded in the 16th minute when Ahimbisibwe fired them ahead. URA reacted immediately with a tactical change, bringing on Joseph Ssemujju for Hudu Mulikyi in the 21st minute, but KCCA maintained control.

Ahimbisibwe struck again in the 41st minute, finishing off a flowing move to double KCCA’s lead before the halftime whistle. The hosts went into the break firmly in command at 2–0.
URA returned for the second half with fresh legs, introducing Denis Kisiriko and Laban Tibita as they chased a way back into the match. KCCA also made adjustments, including the introduction of Emmanuel Anyama just before the hour mark.

Despite URA’s multiple substitutions and growing pressure, it wasn’t until the 73rd minute that the Tax Collectors finally broke through—Joseph Ssemujju pulling one back with a clinical finish to make it 2–1.
The closing stages saw URA push for an equaliser, but KCCA held their defensive shape well. Late changes from both sides, including Gavin Kizito replacing Ahimbisibwe, helped steady the tempo as the hosts protected their narrow lead.

The victory saw KCCA move second on 14 points just like table leaders Police but Police have better goal difference. URA remained tenth with 8 points.
