All is set for the annual T.E.C.H For the world annual Chess Championship in Kiwawu that will take place at the Sports Outreach resource center, Kiwawu on Mityana Road with participants playing in Fide rated 8 rounds.
The 2nd edition will commence from 29th-31st January 2025 were players from Primary and Secondary awarded will be given according to Junior and Open in both girls and boy’s respectively.
The championship will attract participants from seven different Som Inter Project Chess Academy countrywide Centers including; Kampala, Gulu, Jinja, Kagadi, Masaka, Hoima, Budaka among others.
Juicy cash prizes are on stake for the top performers in all categories with the winner walking away with cerficates, medals plus several trophies while the grand prize of one Year Scholarship will be awarded to the winner of each sections.
The tournament is organized by SOM Chess Academy and sponsored by by Robert Katende Initiative, Sports Outreach Kiwawu and Tech for the world.
