Amus College Women’s Football Club has lifted the 2025 FUFA Women Cup title after a thrilling 1-0 win over Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC in the final held at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Samalie Nakachwa’s own goal in stoppage time sealed the victory for Amus College, marking their first-ever FUFA Women Cup triumph.

Road to Glory
Amus College’s journey to the championship was nothing short of remarkable. Here are their road to glory:
- Round of 32: 2-1 away win over Isra Soccer Academy
- Round of 16: Walkover against Asubo Ladies
- Quarterfinals: 3-2 win over Wakiso Hill WFC
- Semifinals: 4-2 aggregate win over 2023 champions Uganda Martyrs Lubaga, with standout performer Opisa Shalyne leading the charge
Kawempe Muslim’s Campaign
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC put up a strong fight, dominating the first half with Halima Kampi creating scoring opportunities. Although they had chances to take the lead, the Amus College goalkeeper made crucial saves, including parrying away a stunning close-range volley from Kampi.
