Lugazi 1-1 KCCA

KCCA and Lugazi FC played out a 1-1 draw in their matchday 10 encounter of the Uganda Premier League on Saturday 30th November 2024 at Lugazi Stadium, Najjembe.

KCCA opened the scoring at the start of second half in the 48th minutes of the game when Sadat Happy Anuku broke the deadlock with a stinging strike that hits the back of the net.

However, Lugazi FC responded in the 77th minute through Derrick Mwanje, who unleashed a powerful shot from just outside the box after a slick one-two move. His effort sailed past KCCA goalkeeper Mutwalib Mugolofa, leveling the match at 1-1.

The result means Lugazi FC remain unbeaten under stewardship of coach Steven Bogere in his first three games of the season, they move to 11th on the table with 11 points after 10 rounds of play.

Meanwhile, KCCA remains third with 19 points on Uganda Premier League table winning five, drawing four and lost one against NEC FC.

Lugazi FC will seek to continue with unbeaten run under new coach as they visit SC Villa on December 6th at Wankulukuku Stadium.

KCCA will welcome Express FC at Lugogo on December 7th, hoping to returns to winning ways.
