Uganda’s Baby Cricket Cranes has been flagged off today for the ICC U19 Boys World Cup Qualifiers in Nigeria. The tournament Will run from 31th March to 4th April 2025.
The U-19 Boy’s World Cup Qualifiers team, consists of 14 players with Gerald Olipa the captain.

The team, under coach Emmanuel Isaneez, will be competing with hosts Nigeria, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Kenya and Tanzania at University of Lagos Cricket oval in Akoka and TBS cricket Oval.
Flagging off the team at the Cricket Oval in Lugogo, Assistant NCS general secretary Sarah Chelangat expressed confidence in the Baby Cricket Cranes team.
“When I look in your eyes, I see talent, hunger, and a zeal to win. Go and perform to the best of your ability because I know that all of you here have the ability to return with the trophy,” Chelangat said.
The Baby Cricket Cranes start their ICC World Cup qualifiers campaign against Tanzania on Saturday 29th at the TBS cricket Oval and seeking their fourth World Cup qualifications after appearing there three times including 2022 in West Indies, 2006 in Sri Lanka and their maiden appearance 2006 in Bangladesh.
