SMC Masaka Rally will be the second NRC round. It’s slated for April 4th-6th weekend and its in this very event that Bebeto will be switching seats from a Subaru to an Evolution 9.

“Most probably we will be using the Evo9 for Masaka rally. The Subbie is under maintenance it has to be mapped and if Terry is not in the country early enough, the Evo is ready to do the work,” stated the Simba Rally Team younger star.

Over the weekend in Zirobwe-Luwero, Bebeto a drive test in the Evo9 to see whether it can suit his driving skills, power and gear shifts. The Evo9 is the same car his uncle, Kuku drove in the 2024 Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally and finished eleventh on a total time of 02:13:44.8 hours.

Lawrence Mwambazi, the crew number 61 pace notes caller said that, “The boy is ready to run the machine. An Evo is an easier car to handle than a Subaru because of its stability on the road.”

Mwambazi has experience in an Evo as he did wonders last season navigating Dr. Moustapha Mukasa to Championship lead until in Gulu where the crew developed issues leading them to lose the 2024 championship with two events left.
