Boni Concili Girls School learn their opponents for the U-17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament

Ugandan representative Boni Concili Girls School learnt have learned their opponents for the forthcoming U-17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament in Tanzania.

The inaugural U-17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) draw has been conducted on today, Saturday in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The draw was conducted by Meskerem Taddesse, the Head of Women Football, CAF assisted by Majidah Nantanda, a Uganda Women Football legend, Coach and Instructor and Teresa Calleb, a former Kenya’s Harambee Starlets player and a member of CAF Women Football Committee.

The Isingiro based side Boni Concili Girls School is pooled in Group B alongside Tanzania’s TDS Girls, Somalia’s Hilaad FC and Burundi’s AIgle Noir FC.

This championship is hosted in the CECAFA region at the Azam Complex Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and brings together eight teams from CECAFA Member Associations (MAs). It will run from 7th – 18th January 2025.

Boni Concili Girls school representation comes after their triumph of the USSSA ball Games II in the Under 16 girls’ football in Soroti. The best two teams from each group will qualify for the semi finals.

The competition is part of CAF’s strategy to promote gender equality and empower the next generation of female footballers.

How they are grouped

Group A: JKT Queens (Tanzania), City Lights F.A (South Sudan), B.D Kenema FC (Ethiopia ), K.A.S FC ( Kenya)

Group B: (Tanzania) TDS Girls , (Somalia)Hilaad FC, (Burundi) AIgle Noir Fc and (Uganda) Boni Consilli Girls.
