Ugandan female footballer Sandra Nabweteme has scored a brace as her side Santos Laguna defeated Atlas in the Liga MX Femenil matchday one at Estadio Jalisco (Guadalajara) in Mexico.

The Crested Cranes’ striker scored in either half as Santos Laguna got an emphatic 3-1 win over Atlas.
Nabweteme converted from the spot in the 5th and 61st minute to get Santos Laguna off to a winning start.

Atlas had made it 1-1 in the 49th minute with a goal from player Maria Paula Salas. However, Santos Laguna led by Karla Maya did not give up on the attack and got a second penalty, which was again executed effectively by Sandra in the 61st minute of the game to seal her first brace of the season. Lia Romero scored the third goal.

Santos Laguna are now table leaders after one game in Mexican Liga MX Femenil League.
