After a gut-wrenching defeat to KOBs last weekend, the Toyota Buffaloes return to Kyadondo Rugby Club with one clear mission — redemption. The Buffaloes will host the Fort Portal Tyrants in Round Four of the Uganda Cup, hoping to turn frustration into fuel and reassert themselves as serious contenders.

Twice this season, Buffaloes have seen games slip away in the dying minutes — both heartbreakers against KOBs.
Standing in their way are the Fort Portal Tyrants, a spirited regional side that has struggled against Uganda’s rugby heavyweights. The Tyrants have shown flashes of promise but often find themselves overwhelmed by the pace and physicality of top-tier opposition — and Kyadondo is never an easy hunting ground for visitors.
Elsewhere, several intriguing fixtures headline the weekend’s action. The Victoria Sharks will open the day’s proceedings at Kyadondo with a 2 p.m. showdown against Kitgum. After back-to-back losses, the Sharks will be chasing a morale-boosting result to keep their campaign alive.
In Entebbe, the Plascon Mongers return to competition after a week’s break, which saw the club mourn legend Ronald Adigasi. They face Kigezi, aiming to honor Adigasi’s memory with a commanding performance at home.

Meanwhile, the Walukuba Barbarians — still smarting from a humbling defeat to Pirates — travel to face the Rams in what feels like a defining moment for their season. The Barbarians have endured a difficult stretch, including missed fixtures and squad shortages.
Notably, the defending champions Heathens, as well as KOBs and Pirates, will sit out this weekend’s round, leaving the spotlight firmly on the chasing pack — and particularly on a Buffaloes side desperate to show they can roar again.
