Buhimba United Saints FC have confirmed the acquisition of seasoned centre-back Dudu Ramadhan, who has penned a two-year renewable deal with the newly promoted side.
The 29-year-old defender joins from Kitara FC and brings vast Premier League experience, having previously turned out for SC Villa, Onduparaka FC, Mbarara City, BUL FC, and Centre Market FC among others.
For Dudu, the move is more than just another transfer—it is a return to his roots. Born in Kaigo Nyasororo village in Kikuube District, the defender expressed his joy at reuniting with his home community.
“I feel truly at home here. Joining Buhimba Saints is special for me, and I am ready to work hard with the team as we aim higher in this new chapter,” he said.
Club president Eng. Julius Ahuura described the signing as a statement of intent ahead of the Saints’ first-ever season in the Uganda Premier League.
“We are excited to welcome Dudu to the Saints family. His leadership, wealth of experience, and passion will strengthen our backline. We believe he will be instrumental in helping us compete strongly in our debut campaign.”
The addition of Dudu is seen as a major boost to Buhimba’s defence as they prepare for life at the top level, with hopes of leaving a lasting mark in their maiden Premier League season.
