The 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup matchday four kicked off with three thrilling matches across the region, showcasing the talent and skill of the participating teams.
Buweekula recorded their second victory overcoming Kyaddondo 1-2 in a well contested duel marred by rainy conditions at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo. Jimmy Kalema scored the two Buweekula goals.
Kalema first gave the visitors the lead in the second half through penalty spot in the 51st minute of the game. Four minutes later Kabiito Marvin scored Kyaddodo’s consolation with beautiful tap in from across from Muluya Abbas.
In the 88th minutes of the game the danger man Kalema scored the winning goal rescuing maximum points for Buweekula. His efforts were rewarded with Man of the Match award.
Buweekula had a great start in the opening quarter an hour of the game with Michael Kayongo, Kalema Jimmy, Ssonko Shafic and Kigozi Ashiraf Neymar dictating the pace.
Ssese Edges Busiro 2-1
In a closely contested match at Lutoboka playground in Kalangala, the Islander’s, Ssese defeated the 2022 Masaza Cup champions, Busiro to secured a vital 2-1. Brian Ssejabi broke dreadlocks in 38th minute for Ssese before Jinta Michael equalizing in the 58th minute of the game.
Andrew Mukasa scored the winning goal for the Islander’s to pick their first victory in the 2025 Masaza Cup. Ssajjabi was named Man of the Match.
Kabula Holds Mawogola to a Goalless Draw
In a tightly contested match at Bakijjulula Playground, Kabula and Mawogola played out a goalless draw. Kabula’s goalkeeper, Hakim Mutebi, made impressive saves to keep a clean sheet and was named Man of the Match.
