The Buyoro-Kitara Region Kabaddi Championship Qualifiers concluded successfully at Masindi Secondary School, with three schools earning qualification for the upcoming Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games II, which will be held in Gulu.

The regional championship, organized by Madam Jane Babiiha, Chairperson of the Buyoro-Kitara Kabaddi Association, served as the official qualification tournament for the national championships. Her leadership ensured the successful organization and smooth conduct of the event.

The tournament highlighted the continued growth and competitiveness of kabaddi in the Buyoro-Kitara region. Participating schools displayed remarkable talent, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship as they competed for the available qualification slots.

In the boys’ category, Masindi Secondary School registered a commanding 58–16 victory over Buyoro-Kitara Christian High School. In the girls’ category, Masindi Secondary School also dominated, defeating Buyoro-Kitara Christian High School 54–9.

Following the conclusion of the qualifiers, the three schools that secured qualification for the USSSA Ball Games II in Gulu are:
Masindi Secondary School
Buyoro-Kitara Christian High School
Sir Tito Winyi Secondary School

The successful championship reflects the growing popularity of kabaddi in the region and sets the stage for strong representation from Buyoro-Kitara at the national championships in Gulu.
