Calvary Seek First Win of Season in Tough Test Against BUL

Still searching for their first victory of the campaign, Calvary face another daunting challenge when they take on BUL at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru. The newcomers sit bottom of the Uganda Premier League standings with just five points and remain the only side yet to register a win after 18 matches.

Their latest outing ended in controversy rather than points after their match against SC Villa was abandoned while they trailed 1-0, further compounding a difficult season.

BUL, meanwhile, head into the encounter in high spirits following a convincing 2-0 away win over Police in their previous fixture. The result lifted them to eighth place on the table with 23 points and boosted confidence ahead of the clash.

The Eastern Giants also carry the psychological advantage, having edged Calvary 1-0 in the reverse fixture courtesy of a Karim Ndugwa strike in what was Alex Isabirye’s first match in charge. With momentum on their side, BUL will look to build on that result, while Calvary will be desperate to finally break their long wait for a league victory.
