The playoff race has reached a critical point, with five teams still unsure of their postseason fate and four more jockeying for playoff positioning. The intensity ramps up today as key fixtures could decide who survives and who misses the cut.

At the YMCA, defending champions City Oilers lock horns with the Victoria Crocs in a must-win showdown. A win for either side would be a giant leap toward sealing a playoff berth. For the Oilers, it’s simple victory means a direct ticket to the postseason.

Over at Abja Park, the JT Jaguars will be looking to do the same when they battle the KIU Titans. Like the Oilers, the Jaguars sit on 11 points and a win would mathematically eliminate the Crocs and JKL Dolphins from catching up.

Victoria Crocs, who suffered a narrow four-point defeat to the Oilers in the first round, are out for redemption. A win today would keep their playoff dreams alive, drawing them within one game of the Oilers with two rounds remaining.

Meanwhile, the Rockets are expected to continue their strong form against bottom-placed Livingstone. A win would mark their 13th of the season, further cementing their place among the title contenders. Livingstone, already relegated, will be playing for pride.

As the margins tighten and stakes rise, today’s matchups are more than just games they’re decisive chapters in the unfolding playoff drama.
