Kitara FC is in panic as president, Deo Kasozi Akiiki is set to leave this office before the end of his contract. Kasozi is left with a year and four months to wrap up his tenure at the Royals.
Kasozi who has spent 10 years at the club says he won’t finish his tenure due to his work schedules which limits him in serving the club to the fullest.
During his tenure, Kasozi has led the Royals to Uganda Cup triumph, a CAF Confederations Cup qualification ticket, helped the construct the Royals’ Park Stadium in Butema among others.
According to Joshua Atugonza the club CEO, the contract was meant to be four years but Kasozi decided to stop at only three years.
“I will stay supporting the club but out of its leadership. Am finishing at the end of this season because I have other work schedules that will be hindering me from fulfilling the club work,” stated kasozi.
“Its time for the club to get new president since I have served and reached where i feel like someone else should take over from,” he added.
According to sources there are two names brought forward to replace Kasozi with Jonard Conglomerate Investment Limited (JCIL) president, Jonard Asiimwe among them.
