It’s only 65.87km of competitive mileage for Toyota Gazoo Racing team’s Elfyn Evans to win WRC Safari Rally Kenya title which has eluded him over the past four editions since his debut in 2021.

Elfyn Evans is with a comfortable 1:57.4 lead into the final day Safari Rally over Hyundai’s Ott Tanak who climbed to second position on a muddy and slippery Saturday afternoon run around Sleeping Warrior, Elementaita and Soysambu stages.
Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville moved to third after posting three top four stage times in the closing loop.

Day 3 was a day with bad experience for Toyota’s Japanese star Takamoto Katsuta who claimed back to back stage wins on SS13 and SS14 but dropped from third to fourth on the leaderboard on the penultimate day of the third round of this year’s championship.

With the issues in the afternoon of Safari Rally claimed the hopes of Toyota double world champion, Kalle Rovanpera of scoring a Safari hat-trick.
