Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin secured their first win of the 2026 season at Rally Sweden, edging out Takamoto Katsuta and Aaron Johnston by a mere 14.5 seconds.
The Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 duo dominated the snowy roads, with Oliver Solberg and Elliott Edmondson completing the podium in third.
Sami Pajari and Marko Salminen another Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 team finished fourth as Hyundai i20 N Rally1’s Adrien Fourmaux and Alexandre Coria finished fifth.
Thierry Neuville, the 2024 world champion, took the Power Stage win with a time of 5:56.0 seconds on the 10.23 km Umea stage 2, narrowly beating Evans by a tenth of a second.
The win marks Evans’ third career World Rally Championship victory in Sweden and puts him at the top of the drivers’ standings.
