The 2nd Edition of the Professor Emmanuel Mutebile Memorial Squash Tournament will officially wind-down this Saturday evening at the Kampala Club Ltd Courts in Uganda .
The grand climax will come after a tense three days of grueling action right from the preliminary rounds to the knock-out stages.
This year, the tournament has attracted Over 100 participants including our brothers and sisters from Uganda and the individual Invitational tournament will feature various categories, including seniors and open competitions.
The Bank of Uganda has injected in 20Million UGX Shillings this year’s individual Invitational tournament.Special tributes continue to pour in celebrating the life of former Bank of Uganda governor, the Late Professor Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile.Mutebile died on 23 January 2022 in a hospital in Nairobi, Kenya.
Uganda’s Celebrated Star Kawooya Michael convincingly won all the three sets against Mark Musingunzi in the quarter finals while Stephen Johnson lost 0-3 to hard hitting Ugandan Wasswa Ivan to Storm tournament semis .
In the Men’s Semis finals Category Ivan Wasswa had 3-1 overJoel Kasibante to Storm the finals while Kasirye Paul Kadoma eliminated Uganda’s squash team Coach Kawooya Micheal.
