The April ForteBet Real Stars awards were held on Tuesday, 5th May, at Nanjing Restaurant in Kololo. Organized by the Real Stars Sports Agency and sponsored by ForteBet and Jude Colour Solutions, the event was attended by Fortebet Uganda Brand Ambassador Mr. Alex Muhangi, Mr. Isaac Mukasa, CEO of Real Stars Sports Agency, and Ms. Eron Nadawula from Jude Colour Solutions.

This edition of the awards celebrated athletes from three sports disciplines: football, rugby, and basketball.

The event started with awarding a winner from the Basketball category were Edrine Ekau of Rezlife emerged as the winner, surpassing Tracy Namugose of KCCA Leopards and Fayeed Baale of City Oilers.Ekau emerged victorious after averaging 20 points per game .

Aturinda beat Proscovia Mukyala (Thunderbirds) and Daniels Otim (Buffaloes) the rugby gong

In the Rugby category, Alex Aturinda of Pirates claimed the accolade, edging out Daniel Otim of Buffaloes and(Thunderbirds) and Daniels Otim (Buffaloes) .

In the last category of Football Nec FC’S goalkeeper Hannighton Sebwalunyo was named best performer after scoring two goals against URA FC and Mbarara City and maintaining five clean sheets. He beat Maroons FC midfielder Ivan Mayanja and SC Villa forward Frank Ssebuufu to win his first-ever Fortebet Real Stars Sports Monthly Award.

At the ceremony, a grateful Sebwalunyo acknowledged the support of God, his teammates, and the organizers. “This award is a result of unity in my team plus the push from fellow players, mostly the goalkeepers at the club, who always give me competition,” he said.
