The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed a provisional 47-man squad for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025.

The team, announced by Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo, features a blend of local and foreign-based talent drawn from both Ugandan clubs and international academies.

Goalkeepers

The four goalkeepers named are Gilbert Mazige (NEC FC), Adrian Mukwanga (Vipers SC), Ashraf Lukyamuzi (KCCA FC), and Edris Waibi (Buddo SS).

Defenders

The defensive lineup includes Elvis Torach (Masaka Sunshine FC), Pantaleo Creti (Grasshopper Club Zürich), Rwahim Kato (Buddo SS), Abdul Lukenge Ntege (Maroons FC), Ukashsha Abudshalfe Jemba (KCCA FC/Acorns International School–Kisasi), Steven Oyirwoth (KCCA FC), Jovan Nsenkero Mukisa (NEC FC), Hamuzza Sengooba (Masaka Sunshine FC), Dickson Barasa (Buddo SS), Ronald Kigoye (Vipers SC), Regan Buduul (BUL FC), Akiz Job Aguma (Vancouver Whitecaps FC), Yunus Vubya (Buddo SS), and Jim Frank Wasike (Vipers SC).

Midfielders

Midfield options include Ibrahim Amin (Cincinnati FC), Brian Jjara, Abubakali Walusimbi (Vipers SC), Fred Junior Muhangi (Express FC), Reagan Okwii (NEC FC), Patrick Serunjogi (KCCA FC), Derrick Malinga (NEC FC), Ibra Ssebagala (Vipers SC), Joseph Langol (Lugazi FC), Derick Ssozi (Fort Portal Taxi Operators FC), Isima Mulala Magala (Masaka Sunshine FC), Marvin Kabitio (Vipers SC), Brian John Owino (Express FC), Thomas Ogemaa (KCCA FC), Etham Adeleke Afuga Adreas Oyedele (Bradfield College FC), Fahad Ismail (KCCA FC), Nuweagaba Kamurungi (Kitara FC), and Bashir Umar (Excell Soccer Academy).

Forwards

The attacking department features Shakur Baggio Lucky Magogo (Namilyango College), John Asiimwe (Bukedea Comprehensive School), Richard Okello (BUL FC), Ramathan Ssali (Kawempe Muslim SS), Simon Wanyama (Bukedea Comprehensive School), James Bogere (Masaka Sunshine FC), and Enock Bagenda (KCCA FC).
Other forwards include Arafat Nkoola (Vipers SC), Mike Lwanga (Free Agent), Ikhlas Mutebi (FC Augsburg), and Shafic Kaweesi (Lungujja Galaxy FC).

Technical Bench

The team will be handled by Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo, assisted by Ronald Ssali. The technical staff also comprises Kenneth Magada (Goalkeeper Coach), Simeon Massa and Dennis Kizito (Physical Trainers), Dr. Michael Kamu Guimisiriza and Dr. Ivan Kulika (Team Doctors), Noah Veron Ddamba (Equipment Manager), Joel Conrenious Kivumbi (Team Media Officer), and Emmanuel Kakaire (FUFA TV). The Football Development Director, Bashir Mutyaba, oversees the program.

The squad is set to begin residential training today at 4:00 PM at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, as preparations intensify for the global tournament.
