The wait is over! The 98th Mashemeji Derby between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards has been rescheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Nyayo Stadium.
The fixture was initially set for November 30 at Kasarani Stadium but had to be moved due to Nairobi United’s CAF Confederation Cup match against Maniema Union of DR Congo.
This marks the third postponement this year, highlighting the ongoing challenges with Kenya’s sports infrastructure. Last season, the derby was delayed twice because of renovations at Nyayo and Kasarani Stadiums ahead of the 2024 CHAN tournament.
Adding to the drama, Gor Mahia recently suffered a tough 4-1 loss to APS Bomet, making this derby a much-needed boost. Will K’Ogalo bounce back? The stage is set for a thrilling showdown!
