Vipers has bounced back to winning ways after an emphatic 2-0 victory over URA FC on enemy territory, the Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo this evening under floodlights.
Brilliant strikes from forwards; Allan Okello and Milton Karisa were enough to guide the Venoms to three priceless points.
On the night under the Nakivubo floodlights, Vipers cruised into second half with early lead courtesy of Milton Karisa’s strike in the 56th minute and Star-Boy Allan Okello’s brilliant header in the 65 minute of the game.
Vipers SC meanwhile are currently unbeaten in their last six matches winning five and drawing one against KCCA FC.
The result lifted Vipers top the Uganda Premier League table, having gathered 20 points in nine matches as URA suffered their fourth loss of the season .
The venoms had good opportunity in 20 minutes of the game to grab an opener as Karim Watambala’s delivery to Allan Okello to tap in goes begging in-front of the goal mouth.
Vipers still missed golden chance in the 53 minute when Yunus Sentamu pulled the trigger from the edge of the box with a one on one with the goalkeeper but it hit the shoulder of Denis Otim.
Vipers will return to the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende next week on Saturday with a tie against Kitara FC while URA FC will visit Wakiso Giants.
