URA FC has confirmed that versatile utility man Joshua Letti Lubwama has signed a new two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2027.
Fondly dubbed “the tallest Muganda” by teammates, Lubwama has been a key figure for the Tax Collectors since arriving from Wakiso Giants in January 2023. His adaptability has made him a valuable asset, excelling both as a centre-back and a defensive midfielder.
In the 2024/25 season, Lubwama was predominantly deployed in central defence, racking up 28 appearances and logging 2,281 minutes. He completed 813 passes, won 101 aerial duels, and added 44 ground duel victories, underscoring his all-around impact.
“I’m grateful to continue my journey with URA FC,” Lubwama said after signing the extension. “This club has helped me grow, and I’m determined to give everything for the badge. I appreciate the trust from the coaches, teammates, and fans.”
The extension is part of URA FC’s broader strategy to retain its core group of performers as preparations ramp up for the upcoming season under head coach Alex Isabirye.
With his leadership, physical presence, and experience, Lubwama is expected to remain a vital cog in URA’s ambitions for domestic and regional success.
