Karan Patel Clinches Victory at Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally.

Kenya’s Karan Patel has emerged victorious at the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally, solidifying his dominance in African rallying. Driving his Skoda Fabia Rally2, Patel showcased exceptional skill and consistency throughout the three-day event.

The rally, which took place in Mbarara, Uganda, featured challenging terrain and competitive stages where by no driver escaped it’s toughness with some registering DNFs as others escaped with serious car damages.

Patel’s experience and determination paid off, as he navigated the course with precision and speed. He lost our to fellow countrymen Samman Vohr during day one but was lucky Samman who had continued his event dominance even in day two dropped out.

This win (Karan Patel’s second consecutive Pearl win) marks a significant milestone for Patel, further cementing his reputation as a top-tier rally driver. His team deserves praise for their hard work and dedication, which contributed to this impressive victory because towards the start of the power stage, he came back to service park limping.

Yasin Nasser was third in ARC and second in NRC.

The Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally serves as a premier motorsport event in East Africa, attracting top drivers from across the continent more so those eyeing for the African Rally Championship.

Patel posted a total time of 1:45:58.11 to win the three day event. Duncan Mubiru aka Kikankane finished second as Nihkil Sachania and Yasin Nasser finished third and fourth respectively. Musa Ssegaabwe sealed the top five overall.

The event dubbed as both the second round of the African Rally Championship (ARC) as well as the third Uganda National Rally Championship round (NRC). In the ARC category, Patel was followed Yasin Nasser as Sachania sealed the top 3.

In the NRC, Kikankane won followed by Nasser and Musa Ssegaabwe in second and third respectively.
