The 2025 USSSA Boys’ National Football Schools Championship in Ngora District has advanced to the round of 16 following Saturday’s intense round of 32 action.
Defending champions St Julian High School booked their place in the next round after edging host school Ngora High 3-1 on penalties. They will now face Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA), who also progressed via penalties, defeating Standard High School Zzana 3-2.
Record winners St Mary’s Secondary School Kitende comfortably dispatched Bishop Camboni 3-0 and are set to take on Blessed Sacrament Kimanya, who narrowly beat MUMSA 1-0 to secure their spot.
Buddo SS will square off with Wisdom High School, while Masaka SS takes on Kibuli SS in another eagerly anticipated encounter.
Kyadondo SS, coached by Hakim Ssenkumba, will meet Kicwamba SS, as Mentor SS prepares to clash with Jinja Comprehensive.
Uganda Martyrs Lubaga will battle Greenlight Islamic SS, who stunned East African champions Amus College to advance.
The round of 16 matches are scheduled for Sunday, 11th May. Teams eliminated at the round of 32 will continue in classification matches.
