KCCA FC vs NEC FC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo

The Top of the table clash has KCCA FC host third-placed NEC FC on matchday nine of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this season.

KCCA FC shared spoils with Vipers SC in the previous league game, while NEC FC also played out a goalless draw with Police FC. The head coach KCCA FC, Abdallah Mubiru, caught up with Rora Media ahead NEC FC clash and said.

“We have prepared well for the game against NEC FC. It will be a competitive game. We all host from the same stadium, and they know if they win, they go top of the table. We won’t have Mugolofa because he is suspended after accumulating yellow cards, but we trust in all our players, and we shall have Emojong Anthony in goal tomorrow”.

“Emmanuel Anyama has returned to full training, but Nsibambi, Poloto, Gabriel, and Magambo are still undergoing rehabilitation and are not far away from returning to play. The players on the national team, Gavin, Shafik, and Saidi, will join the rest of the squad tomorrow, against NEC FC”.

KCCA FC will be looking at maintaining their unbeaten run this term. The Cityzens have conceded two goals in eight games this season, and both were on the road against BUL FC and Vipers SC.

They are top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table with 18 points from 8 matches, while NEC FC lie 3rd on the log with 16 points from 8 games. KCCA FC is the only unbeaten team in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this season and are yet to concede a goal this term.

KCCA FC lost 2-0 to NEC FC at home last season but won 3-0 away in the second round. Both games were held at the MTN Omondi Stadium. The fixture will also be KCCA’s fifth at home this term.
