Kenya wins on 32-26 Aggregate.
The Kenya rugby Legends beat Uganda legends 17-10 to lift the 2026 Legends Cup trophy at Kampala Rugby Club formerly Legends in Naguru on Saturday July 4,2026.
This was their fourth victory since the inception of the tournament in 2023 with the main aim of Inspiring the young generation to the sport.
Alex Mubiru the Uganda Legends team captain noted losing the game was not important but fulfilling the cause of the tournament is the most important.

“We lost but that is not important. Our core mission was to inspire the young generation to sport and also to reunite us after active rugby and that has been fulfilled,” Mubiru said after the game.
Uganda won the first leg in Mombasa by 16-15, but fell 17-10 to Kenya at home for the visitors to retain the trophy on 32-26 aggregate.
On losing the g\me at home Mubiru retaliated that the tournament is not all about winning, but, the 15 aside series was started with the core mission of reuniting former rugby greats and allow them to relive their glory days.
“It is all not about winning, but bring together ourselves and have those great memories of those days and inspire our young ones to join the sport and those in to stay in the sport citing the brotherhood we exhibit,” Mubiru added.

He appealed to the corporate brands to support them so that they can be able execute their interests of promoting the sport countrywide.
The annual tournament officially started in 2023 and Kenya has dominated lifting the trophy in all the encounters.
