Charles “Neymar” Lwanga says he is determined to make his second spell at KCCA FC even more successful after sealing a return to the Lugogo-based club ahead of the new season.
“I am happy to be back, and I want to rewrite my story here. I am eager to work with the players and coaches at the club,” Lwanga said after completing the move.
“There are top-quality players here, so I expect the level of competition to be high. That will only make us better, and I believe we can achieve great success together.”

The forward rejoins the Kasasiro Boys three years after leaving the club, bringing with him valuable top-flight experience gained during his time at SC Villa.
Lwanga first arrived at KCCA FC in 2020 from SC Villa as one of Uganda’s brightest young prospects. He had announced himself with an outstanding return of 33 goals and 21 assists in 35 matches for Villa’s junior team before contributing three goals and three assists in 19 appearances for the senior side.
His first stint at Lugogo was equally impressive, with the attacker finishing as KCCA FC’s leading scorer in his debut season after netting 12 goals in all competitions.
KCCA FC head coach Brian Ssenyondo believes the returning forward will add a new dimension to his attack.

“Lwanga brings pace, directness and a proven eye for goal. We have a clear plan for how we want to use his qualities to strengthen our attacking play. He already understands what this club stands for, and his ambition matches the direction we are taking as a team,” Ssenyondo said.
With his return confirmed, Lwanga will now look to quickly settle back into familiar surroundings as KCCA FC continue strengthening their squad in pursuit of domestic honours next season.
