Kitara FC missed a chance to take the top spot in the Uganda Premier League after drawing 1-1 with URA FC at Royals Park in Butema, Hoima. The result leaves Kitara in second place with 36 points, two behind leaders Vipers, while URA remains 13th with 15 points.

The match saw an early lead for Kitara, as George Ssenkaba’s 12th-minute goal gave them the advantage. However, URA found an equalizer through Norman Namanya in the 66th minute, securing their first goal in nine league games after a long scoring drought.

A red card for Kitara’s Issa Lumu in the 67th minute added to the drama, but despite a late flurry of chances, neither team was able to find a winner.
