NAIROBI – The Kenya Premier League (KPL) witnessed a major shake-up at the summit of the table on Wednesday as the title race heated up at Kasarani Stadium.
Gor Mahia Rise to the Summit
Gor Mahia are back at the top of the pile following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over visiting Kakamega Homeboyz. The decisive moment came early in the match when Alpha Criss Onyango found the back of the net in the 17th minute.
Although K’Ogalo laboured to maintain their lead, the three points were enough to take them to 23 points, while Kakamega Homeboyz remain in 6th place.

Shock Defeat for Tusker FC
Elsewhere, the title ambitions of Tusker FC took a hit as they were stunned 1-0 by Nairobi United. The difference-maker was Kevin Otiende, who unleashed a sensational long-range shot to secure the upset. The defeat leaves the Brewers stuck on 21 points, missing a crucial chance to keep pace with the leaders.
