The Najjembe based side Lugazi FC completed a stunning double over Express FC after an 1-0 victory at the Najjembe Stadium, Lugazi today, Thursday evening.
Sharif Saaka’s lone strike was enough to guide the leaders to three priceless points.
In their last meeting coach Oliver Mbekeka made history as the first female coach to lead a team to a Uganda Premier League win, with a 1-0 victory over under the Nakivubo floodlights. The win marked Lugazi’s first-ever win in the top flight league .
The leaders remained 11th on the table, having gathered 23 points in 19 matches while Red Eagles are fifth with 28 points.
In the next matches, Lugazi will face Mbale Hereos at Mbale municipal stadium on Thursday 13th March while Red Eagles host Police FC on Thursday at Hamz stadium.
